- Direct Vent Fireplaces are for new installations where there is no existing fireplace
- These units will NOT fit inside an existing opening. For that application you need an insert
- Direct Vent fireplace are always sealed with glass
- They can be top vented through a roof or direct vented out of the wall
- Direct vent are very efficient and produce high amounts of heat
- Gas lines must be run by a licensed plumber and must follow local code
- These fireplace are anywhere from 18" -30" deep
- Prices for material only will run from $2,500-$4,500
- We recommend a budget of $5,000-$10,000 for complete install
